What's your vision for your life? Since I posted it on my facebook status about "being excited for Vision Board night" - I have been bombard with emails and questions as to what making a vision board is all about. Actually the real question being asked to me is "What is a Vision Board?".

To me, a Vision Board is a creative collection of your hopes and dreams complied in one place. I have 2 already created, and from to time I see or think of new things I want to accomplish in life and add them to the next one. Since I started to create Vision Boards to visualize with, many things in my life have changed. I started believing in visualization, vision boards and the Law of Attraction many years ago. I created my first Vision Board 4 years ago. I post them behind my monitor (since that is where I seem to spend the most part of my day!) and from time to time I look at them and get excited about things that I will doing or being a part of it my future. I just look at them and the excitement starts.

I know what I want out of this life and believe that I deserve that the Universe will deliver these "things" to me. Not a lot on my Vision Boards are material things such as fancy cars, or fancy jewels. A lot of mine is things I want to accomplish or do such as flying a plane, being healthy or be a featured photographer in magazine spread.  The value of making a vision board goes way beyond the material things that life can give you. Because of the happiness that you see when you look at your Vision Board, your life changes to match those images and those desires; such as the people that come into your life or go out of your life. The universe will put people, places or things in your path to help your visions materialize.

Ok, I could go on about this stuff for days. I am excited that I have created my 3rd & 4th Vision Boards and cannot wait to start focusing on them. I am super pumped that a lot of the people in my life believe with me about this and were excited to get together to create new visions for our life!

XO

So the other night I was on my way out and I noticed a little gift bag hanging on my door knob. It was of course exciting. At first I thought it may be a joke from friends, but when I opened it, it was a Pearl Jam - No Code CD with a handwritten note from the previous day's wedding couple that I had photographed.

Lisa & Mitch were on their way on their honeymoon and decided to drop me a gift before they left. Can you imagine? On the way to Boston to see Pearl Jam  on their honeymoon and stopped to give me a gift? Of course I was excited to dive right into the much talked about album No Code. I immediately put it in the "Big Daddy Mac" and turned it up! I then started inspecting the Polaroid's and the album jacket.

The album No Code is written by Pearl Jam which itself is awesome. I love that these Polaroids were all taken in all different places on different tours. I would imagine that each photo has some special meaning to it's maker. In fact I think most if not all of the Polaroids on the jacket cover were taken by Jeff Ament, the bassist for Pearl Jam. I love the whole album, it's concept and of course the photos.

The whole idea that a couple would do something for me like this is amazing. It makes me smile, which just happens to be a track on this album. Number 5 is a great song, and could be one of my favorites on this album.

Lisa & Mitch - I hope that Pearl Jam was as awesome in concert as I would imagine they would be and you guys are having the time of your lives on your honeymoon!

P.S Some of your polaroids from the wedding day are in the mix in the photos!

I am back from my working vacation and my heart is ready to explode. I have already shed tears of gratitude a few times and pinched myself over and over. I just cannot believe that I am so lucky.

I was in Varadero, Cuba doing destination weddings, Empower the Dress session and Boudoir sessions. I loved EVERY single minute of it.

One of the best things about weddings here or anywhere is meeting the people that I am going to work with. I just received an email from one of the brides saying that "she was sad that she may never see me again"! It made me sad and happy all at once. To me this means that she considers me a friend and this is important to me. Meeting all of these people and laughing with them like I had known them for years is amazing.

Destination weddings are great in so many ways. The most important way is that you can get to know the people you are going to work with. All week you chat and see them interact with their family and this allows me to capture their real personalities because they are more relaxed around me. Not to mention the amazing backdrops you have to work with!!

So O-L-A for now! I am going through emails & facebook to clean up messages and will be back blogging in no time. I have about 4-5000 pics to sort through and their will be lots of blog posts from them! Stay tuned!

Wow! Things are changing in my world. For anyone who knows me, if you look at that first photo, and see that green bottle, you know why! Take a close look at the writing on it....SPF 50! WOW! I know to most of you this seems normal. Not to me, "Miss Tanorexic". I love the sun, I always have. This is the first time that I purposely have bought sunscreen that is above probably SPF 8! Ok that might even be a lie. I don't know if I have ever purposely bought sunscreen!

I am heading to Cuba, for 2 weeks, to photograph a few weddings, and of course to relax. I want to make the most of my time their without being burnt. Last year I was their, I only brought SPF15, and while normally that was fine, I ended up using one of my friends 45 the whole time. I think the very first time I went down south I brought baby oil, and just tanned, hardly any burn! Times are a changin' and so is the environment.

Oh I cannot wait to be relaxing on the beaches, watching my new and old friends splash around in the water like kids and enjoy their company. This is going to be a trip for the history books!

Speaking of the Environment - Be good to it! It is so beautiful, let's keep it that way. Happy Earth Day!

Amanda the beautiful is an amazing makeup artist and wonderful friend. I met Amanda after she came recommended to me to work on with for my sessions. I was happy to meet with her and I have been working with her ever since! Amanda has been working with me for over the past year. I just grabbed these pics of her early one morning before a shoot! She always is so beautiful and fashionable!

Amanda has worked in Toronto, Calgary and Charlottetown over the past few years. She has had the opportunity to work in the Toronto Santa Claus parade & the United Way fundraiser fashion show in Toronto with some of the SOMA students in 2005. Amanda also took part as a makeup artist for PEI fashion week 2007.

Amanda also gives private or group lessons on how to apply makeup properly, recommending products for each person, seasonal trends, and going through some before and after makeup for the people who are interested. You can contact Amanda for her services through her email address or at her Facebook Fan Page .
