Nataschia and I did quite a bit of touring around the Niagara area yesterday. We talked business a lot and she showed me a lot of the regular shooting areas around Niagara, and some local venues, and venders. One such vendor is Vintage Design Co in the Niagara area. Vintage Design is owned and operated by Jennifer Elliotson. Jennifer is amazing and was a pleasure to have met. When we entered the work area it smelled divine! Of course on a Friday things were in full motion, with many weddings to work towards covering this weekend.
Vintage Design has been published in many well know wedding magazines such as Wedding Bells, Niagara Weddings & WedLuxe. Their work really speaks for itself with attention to detail and with a love for what they do. Having a passion for your career really makes a difference in the quality of work that many of us adhere to.

This was in Sonya's email that she sent me after I sent her the sneak peak pics. OF course I cried through her whole email. It was amazing to feel such love from a group that I had just met a week before. I felt like I belonged to their group and that they were being truly honestly new friends to me.
Sonya & Leon had 80 people arrive from all over Canada but mostly Newfoundland & Alberta to attend their wedding on May 4th in Varadero, Cuba. The day was extremely warm and was quoted as being 42 degrees of sunshiny love! It was amazingly beautiful. The location was under a canopy beach side with all of their family watching with love in their hearts. I couldn't help but have love in my heart for all of them and for being so lucky to do what I do.
Congratulations Sonya & Leon for everything, it was wonderful meeting you both and sharing with your families your most amazing day and time in Cuba!

Wow! What a stunning wedding party. These pictures brought tears to my eyes and they are strangers to me! I can see and feel the love between these two people. Rachel, you are a master at what you do - this couple were so lucky to have you as their photographer. You capture moments and create moments that will live on forever. I want to get married again just so you can take my photos. (to the same man of course...LOL)
(05.27.10)So pretty, their colour for their was an excellent choices. Oh and Sonya you look gorgeous! Congratulations to the happy couple!
(05.28.10)The picture with note and her pointing and laughing are my most favorites! Capturing the moment perfectly! I can feel the love in these photos. They also make want to go to Cuba.
(05.28.10)Beautiful :)
(05.28.10)Rachel, these are so vibrant! Love the colours.

Pinch - Owwwwww
Pinch - OUCH
That is what my two weeks with two amazing couples in Cuba felt like. Ouch. Well I had to keep pinching myself, as I couldn't believe it was real. I was actually in a paradise made in heaven and I was given free run of the photos! I actually closed my eyes a few times and opened them again multiple times. I mean how lucky am I?
The first couple that I worked with and enjoyed a lot of time with is Stacey & Ron from PEI. I have known Stacey for a while and enjoyed their company, along with their families and friends while we lounged on the beach, or by the pool. Ron even convinced me to go past my knees in the water in the ocean, but it ended bad for me and a laugh for him, his brother & Stacey.
Being invited on a destination wedding is like nothing else. It was a dream come true for me to be such a special part of Stacey & Ron's big day in such a beautiful place. I cannot thank them both enough for including me and for Ron for allowing me to take more than 6 photos on the wedding day!

Love them, love the pics!! :)
(05.17.10)Aww your sweet Rachel! You have it backwards though - we can't even begin to thank you enough! It was our dream to have our friend and favorite photographer with us! xoxo
(05.17.10)Amazing shots Rachel as usual, and Stacey (not that I know you but) you are a stunning bride!
(05.20.10)Wow, these are so stunning I have looked at them many times!
(05.21.10)These pictures make me want to get married again.
(05.21.10)These photos have such a wonderful moody feel to them. I love them.

Almost every summer I have one or two small weddings, and I spend the few most important hours with the couple and family. Showing Love doesn't have to be a big event, showing love can be with just the people who you care about most.

Looks like summer, so pretty!
(04.20.10)Aw, these are so sweet!
(04.21.10)I love small weddings, they are so intimate.
(04.21.10)The ones where he is smiling up at her melt my heart.

In the meantime, my second project right now is that I am still going through and mailing out discs to people who requested them while I was in Vegas. I found this wedding from June 30th, 2007. What a great day of fun! Martha & Dustin were amazing. The group they were with were so much fun. I thought I would post this from back in the day. Martha & Dustin are coming on their 3rd year of marriage now! YAY! Congratulations to both of you~It was a complete pleasure to be a part of your big day!

Love the flashback! Clear to me that you have a talent.
