Stealing anything in life is unfair, horrible, low and just plain wrong. Working hard and getting the end result you are looking for is far more powerful than taking something that isn't yours and saying it is.

Yes, I may be on a kick after seeing what happened to a well known photographer that I love and follow. Sarah Quiara is a photographer out of Texas. Sarah was called today to be informed that her images were being used on a website as another photographer's who names herself Vintage Rubies Photography out of Los Angelas. Being always worried about this happening to my images, I felt her pain. Someone actually went out of her way, stole Sarah's images and claims them as her own. The very worst part about this is that the bulk of the images that she stole were of Sarah's daughter. This made me irate.

Not only did the photographer steal Sarah's but it is now coming to the surface that a few other photographers were affected as well and a list of sites that they were on is more than just the one.

To me...if I didn't take the image, there would be no glory in showing it off as my own or acting as if it were my own. I also feel bad for the clients who expected to get the work done by Sarah Q and ended up with a thief's work instead.

Please do not steal others work, in any industry especially photography where our images are our eye to the soul. Please do not post on profiles and website without mentioning the photographer on every single image.
Photographers see things differently than others, and work very hard to create these special images.

I believe that the sweetest feeling of success comes after a long battle of hard work, hoping, dreaming and wishing. That is the feeling my brother and his family feel today. They have worked long hard hours, put their wishes and dreams into the universe and believed. After all the hard work, it has paid off. Today we are celebrating their new home. Their first new home. It is theirs, all theirs. What a feeling it has to be for them, their hearts must be exploding with excitement and gratefulness.

This sweet family means so much to me, not just because they are my family. My brother is one of my best friends, his wife being another. Those two girls are the world to me. I mean the whole wide world. Madison & Meleah, I am sure I wouldn't be able to love my own children more than I love you two girls. We have lots of stories and memories already, and I am sure the new house will have no exception for more, and I look forward to it! I am extremely happy for them all, to be able to say "we are going home"... and that home is their own.

I am excited to share in the fun today. In fact, I came home a day early from Toronto to be a part of it. I wouldn't miss it!

Tucker Wucker Woo Woo looks "almost" like a super-model but the best poser is Jackson 'ole boy in the first shot....he's acting totally uninterested in the moment and appears to be checking out the cat next door! no doubt, it was molly shannon!

I cannot believe how fast this summer went by. It is over. No we don't have to wait for the official beginning of Fall on September 22. It went away last week after Old Home Week Ended. Yes, that is the way it works on PEI. As soon as, literally the Old Home Week celebrations are finished, the Monday following it is cold. One Saturday is 38 degrees, the following is 11 degrees, this was proven the past weekend. The weather goes from one extreme to the next around here.

Anyways, it is odd how the weather controls our moods and eating and everything. I noticed that this past weekend it seemed suppers were being made indoors, Chinese restaurant was busy, movies were being watched. Are we all going into winter mode already?

I was so busy this past summer that I had no time for much socializing. It was so exciting and such a rush to have so much creatively going on! Let's keep it going!! Let's not let the weather control us!!!

Lorraine & Andrew acted as if it was a sunny day. In their hearts I am sure it was the most beautiful sunny day this summer. Even thought it was rain, part hurricane/tropical storm & only 11 degrees, they acted like it was sunny. I loved them for it. They were all so organized (big thanks to one amazing MOH who knew how to work her role & did an amazing job at it) After working so hard to make the day perfect literally 2 minutes before the ceremony began, so did the rain. The outdoor wedding on a beautiful tree sheltered property in Freetown, PEI went on, without a hitch - as if it were sunny!

Here are just a few pics from the day. I thought as I looked through them for the first time, it hardly looks like a rainy day!
