Jen & Chris decided to get married in Rollo Bay, Prince Edward Island where Jen grew up. The ceremony took place at St. Alexis parish which is an old church that all Jen's family have been going to the past 50 years. Chris and Jen were both shaking as she walked down the aisle. Guests told them afterward they had never seen a man look at a women the way Chris looked at Jen coming down the aisle with such love in his eyes. Jen's old friend from High School Mary Chaisson performed in the church with her guitar and it was beautiful. Jen walked down the isle to "Red is the Rose" and old Irish song and she performed some other beautiful hymns. At the end of the ceremony the Priest said an old Irish blessing as its only fitting with a McCloskey wedding.
Jen wanted to keep the decoration's simple with white table cloths and lots of fresh flowers and more of a rustic look. They asked that guests fill out messages to us on quilt pieces instead of a signing book. They will now have a gorgeous quilt to remind them of all the people that were there to support us and enjoy this very special day. They had fiddle music and moonshine punch and the night could not have gone better. There's nothing like a good old barn dance!
What a beautiful summer day, a beautiful bride, amazingly fun helpful group of family and friends. I met Jen via email when she first inquired with me, but from the first few emails I knew that she was an enthusiastic & fun kind of girl. When I first met her and heard her laugh, I knew my instincts were correct. Jen & Chris were living in British Columbia until just recently when they decided to move back to PEI. Once an islander, always an islander for Jenn! This was my second wedding "down east" in Souris this summer. I love this area. Everyone is so friendly and fun. I have never photographed up here once and not had a helpful fun group to work with.

Welcome back to PEI Jen & Chris, all the best to you both!
