Aimee and Brian decided to visit P.E.I as part of their annual vacation in July 2009. Brian planned a bike ride on the confederation trail knowing Aimee would think it was just another attempt for him to get a workout in. Aimee wasn't very excited to take the long bike ride during their vacation. On this particular day however, Brian had a plan, a really awesome plan.

Aimee and Brian drove along the trail about 5 km, which he knew would be soon time for a rest. Aimee sat on the bench and of course Brian had brought his camera along to take photos of their vacation. This was nothing out of the ordinary for Aimee because Brian always had his camera ( a Nikon I might add ;-)). He set the camera up to do a self portrait of the 2 of them. Aimee went into model mode. She posed and waited for the click. Once she heard it, she did what she always does. She runs to the camera to check the photo. Little did she know that Brian had purposely set a special photo on the LCD of the camera. A photo of an engagement ring.

Aimee went insane with happiness. This was a moment she had waited for 7 years. Aimee and Brian were high school sweetharts and are best friends. While Brian was down on one knee and professed his love with a romantic speech, through her tears of excitement she screamed YES!

P.S. Not only had Brian proposed to her, he had gave her a gift certificate to buy a new outfit and one for an engagement shoot that night with me!

I was so excited to be asked by Brian to be a part of the day. Brian had planned the whole proposal and called me from Nova Scotia where they live, and asked if it was possible for me to be a part of it. Of course, I was more than ecstatic to be involved, and I can only hope for the best for these 2 sweethearts.
